Despite their 3-0 defeat at Stotfold on Saturday it's Crawley Green who still top of the Spartan South Midlands League but they are very closely followed by St Panteleimon who have won five league games in a row having drawn two and lost one of their opening three games. The Saints were 1-3 up at Potton United at the weekend with the home side pulling it back to 3-3 only for the visitors to score a later winner. 

Leighton Town, many fan's pre-season favourites for the title, are next and they have may a great start to the league season aside from a 3-2 defeat at St Panteleimon on Saturday 17th September. 

Dunstable Town & Leverstock Green are the only teams left without a league defeat and both have great defensive records letting in just 5 in 5 games and 3 in 6 games.  

The stand-out game next weekend comes at Creasey Park as Leighton Town visit Dunstable Town which should be a very well attended game.  Leverstock Green v Shefford Town and Campton and St Panteleimon v Stotfold are also games to keep an eye on. 

Prior to these games most teams are in midweek League Cup action including St Panteleimon v Stotfold on Wednesday evening.
