Torquay United are currently bottom of the table having won just twice in their fourteen games played - The Gulls had a truly amazing game on Saturday drawing 4-4 at home to Altrincham. They were 3-2 up on 80 minutes but the visitors scored in the 85th and 90th minute only for an equaliser to be netted on 90+7 minutes! Both of their wins have come on the road at FC Halifax Town (Sat 13th Aug) and Southend United on Saturday 3rd September. The Devon side were last in the football league in 2013/14 and did spend one season in the Vanarama South in 18/19. Gary Johnson has been in charge since September 2018.
Scunthorpe United are another side with just two wins in their fourteen games played. There were both at home - on the opening day of the season The Iron beat Yeovil Town 2-1 and then on Saturday 24th September they won 3-2 at home to Dorking Wanderers after being 0-2 at half time. They are without a win in four games but have drawn three of those. Tony Daws is currently the interim Manager since Keith Hill departed
Maidstone United are next in the table with three wins from fourteen games played. The Vanarama South Champions have won 2-1 at home to York City, 1-0 at home to Torquay United and 3-1 away at Aldershot Town.
It's been a struggle for the Vanarama North Champions as well. Gateshead's wins have been at home to Maidstone United (4-1) and away at Maidenhead United (1-0) - The Heed are certainly missing the goals of Cedwyn Scott (netted 24 times in the league last season) and Macaulay Langstaff (28) who are doing brilliantly after their move to Notts County who are currently top of the table.
Yeovil Town are just above the drop zone with two wins in fourteen games played - One of those did come recently at home against Solihull Moors which they won 1-0. They then followed this up though with a FA Cup shock defeat to Somerset rival's Taunton Town and a defeat at Oldham Athletic at the weekend.
