Heart of Midlothian 'B' were the big winners on the opening weekend of The Lowland League with a 6-0 win over Berwick Rangers. Jaden Ferguson, Bobby McLuckie, Callim Sandilands along with a Connor Smith hat-trick were the scorers for The Wee Jambos who are managed by Steven Naismith.
Smith, 20, spent time on loan with Queens Park last season. Ferguson is a former Celtic academy player who signed for the club recently after a spell with Lochee United.
The other 'B' side saw a win and loss. Celtic 'B' won 3-1 at home to Cowdenbeath who were relegated from Scottish League Two last season. Matthew Anderson, 18, netted twice for Celtic.
Rangers 'B' lost on Friday evening to Civil Service Strollers.
Tranet Juniors, promoted from the East of Scotland League, lost 2-3 at home to East Kilbride.
Former Motherwell, Hamilton Academicals and East Fife player Jonathan Page scored the winner for the visitors.
There was an amazing game at Raydale Park which was 2-2 at half time - there were 3 penalty kicks in the first half with one missed. The final score was 2-3 with University of Stirling - Cameron McKinley scored the winner for the visitors.
