THE CLUBS OF THE ESSEX ALLIANCE LEAGUE SENIOR DIVISON FOR 2022/23

BLUE MARLIN FOOTBALL CLUB were formed in 1993 and are recognised as the most successful and high profile Mauritian Football Club in the United Kingdom. They played their home games at Fairlop Oak Playing Fields last season. They finished in 10th (of 13) in the Senior Division last season.
BRIMSDOWN had a season to forget in 21/22 finishing bottom of the Thurlow Nunn First Division South with three managers in charge. They move back closer to home for the 22/23 season and will be ground sharing at Wormley Rovers. Junior Matti, who was Assistant Manager at Hadley, joins the club as it looks to rebuild at Step Seven after seven seasons at Step Six.
CHADWELL HEATH SPARTANS were formed in 2019 and have so far finished top of Division Three (19/20 curtailed season), 3rd in Premier Division (20/21 curtailed season) and runner's up in the Senior Division last campaign. They played home games at Chigwell Hall last season.
CHIGWELL TOWN are another newly formed club having first played in 2020. They finished 11th (of 13) in the Senior Division last season and played their home games at The London Marathon Sports Ground in Hainult last season.
DAGENHAM UNITED move up from a 4th placed finish in the Premier Division last season. They have moved up starting the 20/21 campaign in Division Two so it'll be interesting to see how they get on in Senior Division company in 22/23. I spoke to their Chairman/Manager Chris Mascall last July - LINK HERE.
FC BARESI will ground share at Ware's Wodson Park for the 22/23 season. They finished in 6th place in the Senior Division last season.
FC PETROCUB were formed in 2018 and was formed by London's Moldovan community.  It takes it's name from FC Petrocub Hincesti who play in the Moldovan National League and finished runner's up last season. They finished in 7th place last season and also reached the final of the London Junior Cup which was a tremendous achievement. They certainly have a unique club badge which is from the flag of Sărata-Galbenă which is the area where the Moldovan club play.

FRENFORD DEVELOPMENT are a new team to the league probably connected to the FRENFORD 'A' who topped the Premier Division last season.
JOLOF SPORTS were formed in 2012 with the aim of encouraging a healthy lifestyle across London through physical activities. The club motto in ONE TEAM - ONE SPIRIT.

The name "Jolof" comes from what was a West African Kingdom that ruled part of Senegal from 1350 to 1549. They finished 4th in the Senior Division last season and are bound to be a force in the league once again this season.

KIT OUT LONDON were formed in 2020 by Harinder Sanghera with a vision to build a community for Londoners where they can belong through the medium of sport. Sanghera has set a five year place to take the club's senior team to Step Five of the football pyramid with an expanding youth and academy set-up.
LYMORE GARDENS have announced a ground share with Haringey Borough for the 22/23 season having played at The Leyton County Ground last season. They finished in 5th place of the Senior Division last season and also reached the Senior Division Cup Final.

MAY & BAKER RESERVES move across from the Essex Senior League Reserve Division Two.

OAKSIDE FC were only formed in 2021 and now find themselves in a Step Seven Division following their promotion form the Premier Division where they were runner's up in their first season in the league. Their home ground in Fairlop Oak Playing Fields.

RAPID CHINGFORD were formed in 2018 and are a team that draws many of it's players from the  Romanian community in the East London area. The club won the Fenton Cup last season and finished 8th in the table.
SPORTING HACKNEY move across from the Middlesex County League Premier Division - they played many of their home games at Barking's Mayesbrook Park last season. The Parrots, as they are nicknamed, were formed in 1986 as part of an initiative in the local area to support young unemployed people and has grown from their. They were Middlesex County Premier Division Champions in 13/14 and finished 5th in the league last season.
As WALTHAMSTOW's first team move up to Step Four and the Southern League their reserve team move across with May & Baker Reserves move across from the Essex Senior League Reserve Division Two.
WOODFORD EAST were formed in 2018 and played games at Hackney Marshes last season. They will ground share with Basildon United next season which isn't ideal as it's a long journey from East London where the club's spiritual home is. However, the move to Basildon may help them move up the pyramid - they finished 3rd in the table last season so expect them to be challenging in 22/23.
