THE BOTTOM FOUR FIFA RANKING - UPDATE

The US Virgin Islands recorded a victory in their recent CONCACAF Nation's League games in a 3-2 win over TURKS & CAICOS ISLANDS who are currently FIFA ranked 206. The winning goal was scored by JC Mack in the 96th minute!! They also recorded a draw against Sint Maarten and two defeats to Bonaire. Both are non FIFA ranked teams. 

 Their next games aren't until March 2023 when they play Sint Maarten and Turks & Caicos Islands.

The quest for their first win since 2012 continues for The British Virgin Islands. They did get two draws against Cayman Islands (FIFA ranked 195) in the CONCACAF Nations League - they were 1-0 up in their first game up until the 82nd minute. They also had a heavy defeat to Puerto Rico (172). Their next scheduled fixtures is the return game v Puerto Rico in the CONCACAF Nations League.

Anguilla had two decent draws against FIFA Ranked 184 side Dominica followed by a defeat to St Lucia. Their next game is also in March 2023 when they play the return game against St Lucia.

San Marino are still without a competitive win and in their last set of fixtures failed to score but proved stubborn opponents to Estonia, Malta and Iceland. They have now gone five games without a goal with their last scored in a friendly game against Lithuania in March 2022 by Filippo Fabbri. 

Fans have said their performances have improved under Manager Fabrizio Costantini who moved up from coaching the u21 side in November 2021. 

In their last four games they had 4 shots on target and conceded 17 on target compared to 3 and 44 in former boss Franco Varella's last four games in charge. The statistics look better when you see they let in 6 goals in their last 4 games and 22 in Varella's last four games. 

Their next game is a UEFA Nations League at home to Estonia in September.
