MANAGERIAL MOVES IN ESSEX

Pitching In Isthmian North side Coggeshall Town recruited Cliff Akurang from Coggeshall United in May following the departure of joint manager Karl Duguid and Stuart Nethercott from The Seedgrowers.

Akurang had been charge of Coggeshall United since the summer of 2017 and saw them promoted to the Thurlow Nunn Division One South where they finished 2nd in their first season - they were 15th last season.

This left The Weavers with a vacancy to fill with Tumarie Palmer-A'Dam and Rui Costa announced as joint managers. Both had worked together on the coaching team of Basildon United last season with Palmer-A'Dam later on the coaching staff of DTFC/Cannons Wood FC last season.

Their stay with Coggeshall Town was a very brief one as they have now been announced as the new joint management team of Cannons Wood FC with Town now looking for a new boss.

I'm sure when Cannons Wood play Coggeshall United in the Thurlow Nunn First Division South in the 22/23 season it'll be a eagerly anticipated and competitive game.

Duguid has returned to Essex Senior League side Stanway Rovers where he has previously been Manager and Assistant Manager. He will work alongside Michael Pulford and Danny Slatter at The Hawthorns.
