The Wellesley Stadium hosts a local derby charity game on Saturday 9th July when Gorleston visit Great Yarmouth Town in aid of two fantastic charities.
The Leah Wilby Foundation provides holiday accommodation in a caravan at Haven Seashore in the town for families who are supporting young people who are suffering from childhood cancer.
The charity is named in memory of Leah Wilby who sadly passed away just four weeks before her sixteenth birthday in June 2011.
Money will also be donated to the local RNLI Lifeboat charity.
Just over six miles separate The Wellesley Stadium and Emerald Park - the two local rivals now find themselves two levels apart after The Greens promotion to Step Four for the 22/23 season.
The last time they were in the same league was the 2018/19 Thurlow Nunn Premier Division season when 580 and 338 people saw games between the two.
