* FC Halifax Town formed after the demise of Halifax Town
With a game in hand it's Stockport County who are the 1/50 favourites for the title over Wrexham who are rated at 14/1 with FC Halifax Town the only other team who could finish top at 250/1.
What a game there is this Sunday as Wrexham host Stockport County at The Racecourse Ground where a win for the visitors would win them the title!
In the race for a play-off place The Daggers who are unbeaten in seven games and Boreham Wood still have a chance. The Hertfordshire side were in the title race up until their FA Cup Fifth Round game with Everton in March but since then have lost eight of fourteen league games played but have shown a return to form in their last two matches beating Stockport County 1-2 away from home and drawing 1-1 at home to Wrexham on Bank Holiday Monday. Could they scrape into the play-offs?
At the bottom of the table Kings Lynn Town, Weymouth and Dover Athletic are all confirmed as relegated to Step Two for the 2022/23 season - they will be replaced by the South and North champion's Maidstone United and Gateshead + the two play-off winners.
With just three of the current top twelve not being a former football league member I think it's time for three up and three down.
My idea would be for the either the top two to go up and then a third via play-offs from the teams who finish between 3rd and 8th position or,
Top to go up, runner's up to play off against the team who finish third bottom of the football league over two legs home and away and then play-offs as above. At this current time it would probably see Wrexham play either Barrow or Stevenage.
