Former Great Wakering Rovers boss Steve Butterworth has been appointed the new Romford manager. He won the Essex Senior League as a player with Rovers and was in charge at Burroughs Park from January 2019 firstly as Interim Manager following Gary Kimble's departure and then permanently in April of the same year. He parted company with the club in October 2021.
Romford had a season to forget in 2021/22 finishing rock bottom of The Pitching In Isthmian League North Division.
I'm sure under the new management and playing in the Essex Senior League for the first time since the 08/09 campaign their loyal supporters will have some more things to cheer in 2022/23.
