A NEW NAME IN THE GAME FOR WEST LONDON - INTRODUCTING PORTOBELLO FOOTBALL CLUB

As their website states "Portobello Football Club is a hyper-local football club representing Portobello Road and the local community in Notting Hill and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea."

The new club formed by Calum Opere-Hoyal will enter The Middlesex County League for the 22/23 season and will be coached by Dan Merrix who will be assisted by Stuart Webb.

Merrix played and coached in his native country Wales and moved to London in 2016 he coached as Upton Park Ladies in the Greater London Women's League and then took over at Essex Alliance League side Newbury East. He has also coached at Dartford FC Women's teams last season. He has also worked with Velez FC in Spain as part of the scouting and recruitment team.

Their club badge is The Peacock which is "a bird as colourful as Portobello Road, a nod to the Notting Hill Carnival, and a promise to play the beautiful game the way it is supposed to be played" with the The Crown "a symbol to represent the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea".

Their kit looks amazing as shown in the picture below.
