New Salamis went top of the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division at the weekend with their 0-2 win at Leverstock Green. Risborough Rangers weren't in action with Leighton Town winning 2-1 at home to Ardley United in front of another bumper 333 crowd at Bell Close. 

Hadley who had been in great form of late winning at New Salamis 0-4 and Leighton Town 0-2 surprisingly lost to third from bottom Tring Athletic whose 2-1 win was only their sixth win in twenty-five league games played this season. 

Following their amazing result it's a very tough looking trip to New Salamis tomorrow evening for Tring Athletic. Leighton Town make the short trip to play Aylesbury Vale Dynamos who are currently in 10th place and without a win in three games. 

All roads lead to The BEP Stadium next weekend as Risborough Rangers host Hadley in what is, I would say, a must win game for the visitors. 

The team who finishes top this season are promoted as usual with the runner's up entering the Step 4/5 inter-step play offs.
