It's looking like a two horse race for the title in the North West Counties League Premier Division between Skelmersdale United and Macclesfield Town with the two games in hand The Silkmen have making them slight favourites at the moment but there are many games to play yet.  

Macclesfield FC, reformed after the demise of Macclesfield Town, have a higher average league attendance than League Two sides Salford City, Crawley Town, Harrogate Town, Colchester United, Forest Green Rovers and Scunthorpe United. 

Only Southend United, Chesterfield, Stockport County, Grimsby Town, Notts County and Wrexham have higher averages in The National League.
