Locally we saw Shefford Town and Campton of the Spartan South Midlands League Division One entertain Risborough Rangers who are top of the SSMFL Premier Division and unbeaten in league fixtures. The game ended 1-1 in front of a very good crowd of 292 with the home side going through 5-4 on kicks from the penalty mark.

Athletic Newham and Saffron Walden Town will represent the Essex Senior League in the Third Round following 5-3 and 5-1 against Pagham and Cornard United.
North Shields and Rugby Town are the only previous winners involved in the competition. The Robins came through on penalty kicks after a 2-2 draw against North Ferriby.
