PROMOTION TO STEP FOUR
QUALIFICATION FOR INTER STEP PLAY-OFFS
Gorleston currently sit on top of the Thurlow Nunn Premier League after winning nine of their eleven games played so far. They have dropped points in a 2-2 draw at home to Hadleigh United and 1-3 home defeat to local rival's Kirkly and Pakefield.
The Greens are due to move away from their Emerald Park ground to a new ground built in partnership with the East Norfolk Sixth Form in the next few years.
Wroxham, who won all ten league games in the 20/21 curtailed season have scored an impressive 42 goals in winning nine of their ten games so far. Mildenhall Town are the only side to defeat them in a 1-2 win on Saturday 11th September.
Joe Taylor of Wroxham is the top scorer in the league at present - he has scored 15 goals in just 9 league games. He is followed by Christy Finch of Gorleston who has 13 in 9 games and Ryan Miles of Wroxham on 12 goals from 10 games.
Mulbarton Wanderers, promoted from step 6 last season, have made a fine start to life at step 5 and are currently in third position. They feature in two very important games over the next week with a home game against Gorleston tomorrow and a trip to Wroxham in midweek.
On Tuesday 12th October it's the biggest game of the season as Gorleston visit Wroxham where there should be a decent crowd watching at Trafford Park.
Fifth placed Norwich United are the only Thurlow Nunn league side left in the FA Cup and have drawn Stamford who are currently in sixth place of the Northern Premier League Division One (Midlands). The Planters run to the Third Qualifying Round is their best ever performance in The FA Cup since they first entered in 1992.
