The Green Lions could be forced to pull out of playing football for the second season in a row if they can't start playing games by Monday 1st November 2021. Guernsey FC, of the Pitching In Isthmian League South-Central Division, haven't played a competitive game since February 2020!
The current rules state that anyone arriving on the Island must be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 seven days prior to travelling to avoid isolation. This would make is impossible for un-vaccinated players to visit the Island with having to isolate when arriving which is clearly not possible for players who play on a part time basis.
The key for the club to return to football in the States of Guernsey relaxing the regulations - If this does happen it'll be a very busy time for the club with many of the other teams in the division having played 4,5 and 6 games.
