SCOTTISH LOWLAND LEAGUE OPENING FIXTURES

After two pandemic affected seasons the Scottish Lowland League gets underway in just a few weeks on Saturday 17th July. The league this season has two new member teams in Celtic 'B' and Rangers 'B' which is a move that has caused some controversy amongst fans North of the Border. They were voted into the league by the majority of the member clubs for one year only.

Celtic 'B' have an away trip to Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic on the opening day with Rangers 'B' at home to Bo'ness United. Bonnyrigg will be amongst the favourites for the title having runners up in the 19/20 and 20/21 league tables - They lost three games in thirty-six league games played.

Celtic will play home games at The Penny Cars Stadium which is the home ground of Airdrie United (10,101 capacity) with Rangers hosting their matches at Dumbarton FC's C&G Systems Stadium which has a capacity of 2,020.

The first Old Firm derby in the Lowland League comes on Saturday 31st July when Celtic host Rangers - I wonder what the crowd will be for this one?
