Clean Slate FS 10 welcome Towcester Town Reserves in their return to football. The team were formed as part of the club's ten year anniversary celebrations for the 2019/2020 season.
From cleanslatefc.co.uk "the club has ongoing ambitions to include anyone in football regardless of background, ability and finance. As of 2019-2020 we are launching CleanSlate FS 10 which aims to be a team dedicated to involved people in football who otherwise may not be willing or able to join another team. Whether it is through life circumstances, finances or ability, so many players are rejected from teams due to not being able to commit every single week to training and matches. FS 10 however looks to include these players and still provide a positive environment focused on fun, football and social interaction. We have also identified that mental illness and struggling in life is an all too common occurrence in men. Whilst it tends to be hidden, we want to still provide an environment where people who are struggling, have the confidence and social support around them to seek help and generally feel accepted/safe. It can be a very lonely place when going through life's tough times (as we all will know) and we want to ensure there is at least somewhere these people can enjoy their day, enjoy time with friends and of course enjoy a game of football. The team will be playing in the North Bucks & District League and playing Saturday afternoons at Downs Barn Pavilion. To celebrate the team's culture and ethics we have manager Darren Turney stepping in to run the team and help build the culture of fun, football and social interaction within the team. If any players are interested in joining please feel free to get in touch via the website."
Division One also includes former Spartan South Midlands League Division Two side MK Wanderers who make the short trip to play Silverstone in their return to football.
DIVISION TWO
City Colts Reserves v Marsh Gibbon Reserves
Deanshanger Athletic Reserves v Yardley Gobion Reserves
Newport Pagnell Athletic Reserves v MK Wanderers Reserves
Please note the current Government advice is "No spectators are allowed at grassroots football as part of step one of the roadmap, unless for safeguarding purposes which should be limited to one parent or carer per child"
