RELEGATED/RELEGATION PLAY OFF
The race for the title at the top of the Premier League is really hotting up in a three way battle between BATE Borisov (15 previous titles), Neman Grodno (best place finish was runner's up in 2002) and Shakhtyor Soligorsk who have one title win back in 2005 and have finished six times as runners up.
If you are a betting person the bookmakers currently make BATE 4/6 favourites, Shakhtyor 13/8 and Neman Grodno at 7/1. Isloch are outsiders at 200/1!
At the bottom of the table I stated a few weeks ago that Smolevichy look doomed to relegation with another three way battle to see who scrapes to safety and who goes down and finishes in the play-off spot to play the third placed side in the First League.
It's been reported today by football.by that fourteen Belshina players have tested positive for covid so their game with Slavia Mozyr scheduled for Saturday is very much in doubt.
