BARROW AND HARROGATE TOWN - HOW ARE THE PROMOTED SIDES DOING?

Barrow and Harrogate Town have both played four football league games so far in the 2020/21 campaign.

The Bluebirds have drawn 1-1 in both of their home games against Stevenage and Colchester United with defeats at Newport County (1-2) and Carlisle United (0-1).

They drew 0-0 with Championship side Derby County before losing on penalties and also lost to Blackpool on penalties in the EFL Trophy Group 3 after a goal-less draw.

They play Leeds United u21 on Monday evening in the EFL Trophy before entertaining Leyton Orient on Saturday and then travelling to Harrogate Town on Saturday 17th October.

Harrogate Town play Leicester City u21s in the EFL Trophy this Tuesday before going to Bradford City on Monday 12th October before the Barrow game as above.

They have faired slightly better winning on penalty kicks against Tranmere Rovers in the Carabao Cup before losing to Premier League West Bromwich Albion in the second round. They have also booked another trip to Wembley Stadium with their 0-1 victory at Notts County in their delayed 2019/20 FA Trophy semi-final.

In the EFL Trophy they have drawn 2-2 against Grimsby Town before losing on spot kicks. In the league they had a fantastic 0-4 victory against Southend United on the opening day and have since drawn 2-2 at home to Walsall and 0-0 at Port Vale. Their 1-2 defeat at home to Bolton Wanderers yesterday was their first football league defeat.

If you would of told any Harrogate Town fan a few years ago that they would of been hosting Bolton Wanderers in the football league I don't think they would of believed you! The only frustrating thing at present is their loyal support can not watch the games in person at present.

Skybet.com currently have Harrogate at 7/2 and Barrow at 18/1 to gain promotion to League One this season.
