Fourteenth placed team plays off against team in third place of First League. Bottom two relegated.

It's been an eventful season for Smolevichy who were promoted with title winner's Belshina Bobrusik from the First League last season. In July their manager and many of their players left due to the club suffering financial problems with new manager Aleksey Mikhaylov winning his first game in charge 3-0 against Isloch against all the odds. Since then it's been seven defeats in a row in the league and a cup exit losing 4-1 to First League side Arsenal Dzerzhinsk. In their last six league games they have shipped 26 goals scoring just 3 times. They play FC Minsk on Monday who they lost 4-0 to last time out. It's looking more and more likely they will be back in the second tier for the 2021 season. Here's a comparison of their squad in the first game of the season to their last game against FC Minsk. As you can see only Eduard Zhevnerov and Anatoli Makarov remain in the starting XI and player's highlighted are no longer with the club. The average age of their starting XI against FC Minsk was just over 23 years of age - If you take the experience of Zhenerov (32) and Shchegrikovich (36) out of the team it is reduced to just over 20.

Belshina Bobruisk are making a real fight of it with three wins in their last five games against Slutsk, Smolevichy and Dynamo Brest as well as a draw against Vitesbsk in their last game. This weekend their game against Shakhtyor Soligorsk has been postponed as a number of Belshina players have tested postive for Covid19.

Gorodeya and Slutsk are above Belshina and with their form are in real danger of dropping into the bottom two. Gorodeya's last win in the league was against Belshina in July in an epic 2-1 home victory in which every goal was scored in injury time! After five wins their first seven league games Slutsk have won just one game in fifteen which is relegation form.
