Friday night is football night in the Essex Senior League with five games taking place over the two divisions. There are two local derby games with Walthamstow travelling to West Essex with their FA Cup victory over St Margaretsbury still fresh in their minds. Woodford Town host Redbridge at Harlow Town. The Stow won't find it easy against West Essex who have had two good away victories in their last two ESL games at Saffron Walden Town and Hoddesdon Town - they thrashed Thurlow Nunn League side Haverhill Borough 8-1 on Sunday afternoon in the FA Vase - Michael Mignot netted a hat-trick in this game.

Saturday 26th September
Hadley v Takeley
Hoddesdon Town v Enfield
Ilford v Saffron Walden Town
Sawbridgeworth Town v Hashtag United
Sporting Bengal United v Cockfosters
St Margaretsbury v Clapton
Stansted v Southend Manor

On Saturday the game of the day has to be three wins from three Hashtag United travelling to a new and improved (from last season) Sawbridgeworth Town who have won two and drawn one of their league games so far. Hashtag are fresh from their FA Cup heroics live on the BBC on Monday evening.

Enfield FC travel to Hoddesdon Town with former Bishops Stortford manager Jamie Cureton in temporary player/manager charge of the team following Matt Hanning's departure from the club earlier in the week. He had been in charge for four years and leaves due to having a new job and not being able to put enough time into the job that he could do previously - I wish Matt and his family all the best as he's a lovely guy both on and off the pitch.

It's not been a great start to the campaign for Enfield with a 5-1 FA Cup defeat to Harlow Town, in the league they have had 1-0 defeats to Cockfosters and Stansted and a 0-0 draw against St Margaretsbury. On Sunday they exited the FA Vase at the hands of Thurlow Nunn First Division South side Holland FC who recorded a 2-0 victory.
