Drita v Linfield - Linfield awarded tie by 3-0 scoreline due to two players from Drita testing positive for covid and the whole team being put in quarantine in Switzerland where the matches took place.

The First Qualifying Round games of the UEFA Champions League got underway tonight with Celtic and Linfield in action. Celtic won 6-0 at home to Icelandic side KR Reykjavik and Linfield were knocked out by 1-0 to Legia Warsaw. Former Oldham Athletic player Kirk Millar was sent off on 75 minutes for Linfield after a second booking with the Polish side getting the winner on 82 minutes via Guineian International Jose Kante. Celtic will play the winners of the Ferencarosi v Djurgardens tie. 

It was a fantastic night for Red Star Belgrade's Comoros International El Fardou Ben who scored a hat-trick in their 5-0 victory against Europa FC. 


Tomorrow evening Welsh club Connah's Key Nomads make their debut in the UEFA Champions League against Bosnian champions FK Sarajevo who include Lambeth born winger Matthias Fanimo in their squad. Now 26 he was capped at u16, u17 and u18 level whilst coming through the ranks at West Ham United - He was released by The Hammers in February 2015 and joined Tranmere Rovers going to play for Bishops Stortford, Eastleigh, Margate and AFC Hornchurch before playing in Slovenia for Drava Ptuj and then in Bosnia for Mladost Doboj Kakanj. He recently joined Sarajevo for a fee of 50,000 euros. Many of The Nomad's squad are also English and have played in the non-league pyramid. 

Faroese Champion's KI Klaksvikar's game with Slovan Bratislava is expected not to go ahead as a member of staff in the Slovakian team has tested positive for covid so there whole squad is now in quarantine. An official decision will be made by UEFA tomorrow.
