PARIMATCH BELARUSIAN CUP THIRD ROUND GAMES THIS WEEKEND

RED denotes Second League Sides
BLUE denotes First League Sides
BOLD denotes Premier League Sides

The Belarusian Cup third round games take place this weekend. You will notice that all the Premier League sides are away from home - In the competition up until the third round all the higher rated teams are always away from home with two leg ties from the fourth round onwards. Could there be some surprise results? I think Smolevichy who are struggling at the bottom of the Premier League may have a tough game at First League Arsenal Dzerzhinsk and the reformed DNEPR Mogilev have a number of former Premier League players in their squad so could give Isloch a fright - They have won all thirteen of their league games so far scoring seventy-two goals and let in just seven.

Sputnik are top of the first league and they host Belshina who are still in the bottom two of the table but have won their last three games against Smolevichi, Slutsk and Dynamo Brest. Slutsk may also have a tough game at Lokomotiv Gomel.

The weekend finishes with the eagerly awaited Minsk derby between First League side Krumkachy and Premier League side Dynamo Minsk.

Above all it's the magic of the cup so who knows what will happen. Kick off times are for the UK. I'm not sure at present if the games will be played behind closed doors or in front of supporters.
