AN UPDATE ON BELARUSIAN FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The current precariuous policital situation in Belarus has seen the league's games cancelled last weekend and more than likely this forthcoming weekend too although nothing has been announced as yet. The league had many football fans worldwide entertained during lockdown and many friends were made via the power of football and the internet.

I sincerly hope the country can move forward with whom the majority of people want in charge and above all everyone stays safe and well. Many British football fans have spoke about wanting to visit Belarus for games next season and I hope this will happen where the fans will make everyone so welcome.

There is one game this evening involving a Belarusian club and it's a very important one as 2019 champion's Dyanmo Brest take on Kazakhstani 2019 champion's FC Astana in the UEFA Champions League 2020/21 First Qualifying Round. At this time of writing I don't know if the game will be behind closed doors or not - The winners of the game will play the winners of the Connahs Key Nomads v Sarajevo tie in the second qualifying round.
