Torpedo BelAZ 0 Dinamo Minsk 0 (tbc)

I don't think you'll ever see another game like Gorodeya v Belshina Bobruisk - Up until the 95th minute it was heading to a goal-less stalemate. The Belshina defender Vladislav Yasyukevich took hold of Milan Joksimovic's shirt in the box as he was taking control of the ball. There was contact made but his fall to the floor could be described as slightly theatrical. The referee pointed towards the penalty spot and it was Yasyukevich who scored the resulting kick to make it 1-0 and win what was expected to be three very important points in the battle against relegation for the home side.

It wasn't to be though as more drama was to come in the 99th minute when from a corner Leonid Kovel headed home from the near post to make it 1-1 to the delight of then noisy away following who had made the trip and as one football commentator once said "і яны думаюць, што ўсё скончыцца" which translates to "they think it's all over!" but it was most certainly and not!

In the 90th + 10 minute Lazar Sajcic received the ball just inside the edge of the box and swept the ball home past Aleksey Kharitonivich in the Belshina goal to make it 2-1 in a truly amazing end what had been a largely uneventful game up to injury time.

In the earlier game on Friday it was Slutsk who got their first win in       with a 2-1 win against Isloch. It was two of the three Burkino Faso players on Slutsk's books who scored their goals in the second half after Nigerian Godfrey Stephen had given Isloch the lead in the first half. Souleyame Koanda (50 mins) and Abdoul Gafar (53 mins) were the heroes for the home side.

No doubting where the game of the week was and that was at Neman Grodno as Shakhytor Soligorsk were in town for a game between two of the title challengers. The game never really lived up to it's billing and ended 0-0 in front of a massive crowd of 4,200. The result would of pleased BATE Borisov who had gone back to the top of the table on Saturday following their first win in four games with a 0-3 victory at Rukh Brest.

In the first league it's still Sputnik who lead the way thanks to a decent away victory at Slonim. Fromer Smorgon player Denis Gruzhevskiy scored Sputnik's first at the end of the first half to make it 1-1 as the home side had taken an early lead. Valeri Potorocha and Nikolay Zagvoxdin made the game safe in the second half for the visitors.

Naftan Novopolotsk's good form continued with a two goal win at Orsha - they won one of their opening nine games but have now won four games in a row! It had been just 0-1 up until the 90th minute when former Orsha player Aleksandr Kucherov scored to make it 0-2. He played 28 games for Orsha in 2019 and 14 in 2016. The 25 year old came through the ranks at Dynamo Minsk.

Gomel continued their good form in front of a decent crowd of 2,100 people - Many people expected them to win by a few more goals against Khimik who are now firmly rooted to the bottom of the table.

SECOND LEAGUE

Saturday 18th July
Group A
Meliorator Zhitkovichi 5 Pershiy Regien 1

Group B
Dnepr Mogilev 14 Zhlobin 0

There were only two games played in the third tier with Dnepr Mogilev continuing their march to the Group B title with an amazing 14 goal victory over Zhlobin who since their 2-1 win over Engergosbyt-BSATU have lost four in a row and conceded thirty-two goals!
