SOME NON-LEAGUE NUMBERS................

38.4 IS THE AVERAGE POINTS REQUIRED TO FINISH 23rd IN LEAGUE TWO OVER THE PAST FIVE SEASONS.
 SEASON TEAM  GD  PTS  PPG
14/15   TRANMERE ROVERS  -22  39  0.85
15/16  YORK CITY   -36  34  0.74
16/17  LEYTON ORIENT   -40  36 0.78
17/18  CHESTERFIELD   -36  38  0.83
18/19   YEOVIL TOWN   -25 40 0.87

Due to the unfortunate demise of Bury only one team will be relegated from the football league this season and the above table shows the final records of the teams who finished bottom (24th) of League Two over the past five seasons. So to finish above in 23rd position last season the team would of had to get 41 points for example - So taking all of the figures into account the average required to finish 23rd (and for this season stay up) is 38.4 with the lowest being 35 in 15/16 and 41 in 18/19.

Oldham Athletic could become the first former Premier League club (they were founder members in 1992 but were relegated in the 1993/94 season) to be relegated from the football league.

0 - Wrexham haven't won away from home in the Vanarama National League so far this season. They have drawn 3 and lost 7 of their 10 games played so far. Their next trip is on Saturday when they travel to fellow strugglers Ebbsfleet United. Could they pick up three points at Stonebridge Road?

14 - Jamie Reid of Torquay United is currently the top scorer in non-league's top division. He is closely followed by Barrow's Scott Quigley on 12.

17 - Adam Marriott of Kings Lynn is leading the way in the Vanarama North's scoring charts and is followed by Aaron Martin of Guiseley on 16. Marriott has played in the football league for Stevenage and was part of Lincoln City's squad which won The National League in 2016/18. He dropped down to Royston Town scoring 31 times in 43 games in 17/18 and then moved onto Boston United. He joined the Norfolk club in October 2018 and was the Southern Premier Central golden boot winner with 24 goals. Martin scored 30 goals in 42 games for Brighouse Town in the Northern Premier League Division One (East) last season and has made the jump from Step 4 to Step 2 look easy so far. A great signing for the West Yorkshire club.

11 - Dulwich Hamlet are without a win in eleven Vanarama South League games. The South London side have drawn five of those eleven games. Their next three fixtures are a midweek FA Trophy replay away at Chippenham Town followed by another away game at Oxford City on Saturday and a home game against Dartford on Saturday 7th December.

It's bee a tough season for Barnstaple Town in the Betvictor Southern League Division One (South). They won their opening game 3-4 at Basingstoke Town and their fourth game of the season at home to AFC Totton (1-0) but since have lost 12 league and cup games in a row. In those games they have scored 7 and conceded 40 goals. They visit Highworth Town (9th) on Saturday and then play at home to Melksham Town (16th) on Saturday 7th December. Since promotion from the Western League in 2016 they have finished 17th, 21st and 19th - They have been reprieved from relegation in 2018 due to Shortwood United's resignation from the league and then in 2019 due to Street's resignation.

13 - Sleaford Town of the UHLSport United Counties League Premier Division are another side struggling at the bottom of their table. They have lost all thirteen of their league games played so far and also lost in the Emirates FA Cup, Buildbase FA Vase, Kitmanuk Knock Out Cup and the Lincolnshire Senior Trophy. Their next two games come at home on Wednesday night against Anstey Nomads (13th) and on Saturday when Haraborough Town (10th) visit Eslaforde Park.

32 - Oxford United Women scored an amazing 32 goals in their Oxfordshire FA Women's Cup Quarter-Final at Launton LFC - Brogan Moore scored 7 goals. It was never going to easy for the Launton team who play in the step 8 Thames Valley Counties Division Three (North) compared to United's step three FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division. Launton tweeted after the game "Fantastic effort from the ladies this afternoon, going out as a team and facing Oxford United with spirit and determination. The score line never really mattered today, it was a fantastic opportunity and we enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks to everyone who supported"

524 - Romford had a fantastic attendance in their first game under new ownership when they played Coggeshall Town. They host Barking in the Velocity Cup on Wednesday evening and then entertain Tilbury in the league on Saturday.

30 - Romford have used 30 players in their three starting XI's over their past three games. Eleven new players were brought in to replaced the players who played the last game of manager Paul Martin's reign in their game versus Coggeshall Town with only Briggs Ojemen, Freddy Moncur and Phil Roberts remaining for their game at Dereham Town.

16 - Hastings United are twelfth in the goals for table of the BetVictor South-East Division but they are second in the official table. They have an excellent defensive record letting in just four goals in their eleven league games played so far.
