SOME NON-LEAGUE NUMBERS...


37 - Stowmarket Town have scored thirty-seven goals in their eleven Thurlow Nunn Premier Division games so far. Their impressive 0-3 win at Nowich United    put The Old Gold and Blacks eight points clear at the top of the table. Joe Jefford, Josh Mayhew and former Leiston striker Matt Blake (on his debut) got the goals. 


FIRE UNITED IN FA VASE ACTION AGAINST ERITH & BELVEDERE

When Fire United take to the field at the historic Royal Oak ground on Saturday 5th October to play Harwich & Parkestone it will have been 232 days since their last victory on Saturday 16th February 2019 when they won 1-0 at home to Wivenhoe Town in a Thurlow Nunn First Division South game. So far this season they have lost 0-5, 0-2, 0-5, 0-5 and 0-3 in the league along with 1-6, 0-5 and 1-3 cup defeats. 



6 - Lopes Tavares play at the same ground (The Terrance Macmillan Stadium) as Fire United and have won all six of their Thurlow Nunn First Division South league games played so far! It'll be a top of the table clash next weekend when they face second placed Little Oakley. 


42 - Essex Olympian League Division Two side Westhamians have conceded forty-two goals in their four league games played so far included a 19-0 defeat last weekend at Epping Town and a 12-0 defeat at home to Corinthians yesterday. It's not been all bad as they have won one of those four games 4-2 against Wakering Sports. Their next game is on Saturday 12th October in the Essex FA Premier Cup against Essex Senior League Reserve Division side Waltham Abbey Reserves. 



0 - York City are the only side in the step one and two of the non-league pyramid to remain unbeaten. The Minstermen are three points clear of Chester at the top of the Vanarama North division thanks to their 3-0 home over Kings Lynn Town yesterday. Their next game is an FA Cup 3rd Qualifying Round trip to Buxton who are currently bottom of the Betvictor Northern Premier Division. A crowd of 3,082 saw yesterday's game at Bootham Crescent. 


6 - Spartan South Midlands Premier Division side Colney Heath have won all of their league games so far making it six in a row with a narrow 0-1 win at Leighton Town yesterday. The host Crawley Green on Tuesday evening who will be in a confident mood following their amazing 7-1 home against London Colney yesterday - a game in which Sam Holmes scored a hat-trick. 


UNITE MK v MK GALLACTICOS IN FEBRUARY LAST SEASON

22 and 20 -  Local bragging rights will be on offer in Milton Keynes next weekend as MK Gallacticos entertain Unite MK in the Spartan South Midlands League Division Two. In last season's league games there was a 2-2 draw and a 1-2 win for the Gallacticos at the Irish Centre in February. It would be good to see a few more people turn out and support their local sides as a total of only 42 people saw last season's two games. The game takes place at the North Furzton Sports Ground, MK4. 



Essex Senior League side Hadley have already played 4 games in the Emirates FA Cup this season and their next game couldn't get any tougher. Victories over Redbridge, Hoddesdon Town, Arlesey Town and Ramsgate have rewarded them with a third qualifying round trip to Vanarama South side Havant and Waterlooville who won 1-4 away at Wealdstone yesterday. Hadley are major underdogs but you never know with the magic of the FA Cup! Former Ipswich Town, Luton Town and Stevenage Borough player Adam Drury scored yesterday along with Danny Kedwell who has played in the football league with Gillingham as well as winning non-league's top division with AFC Wimbledon. 


Jersey Bulls made in 9 wins in nine in the Combined Counties Division One with their 1-2 victory at AFC Hayes. It's a top of the table clash next weekend when Sandhurst Town visit who are in second place winning 6, drawing 2 and losing just one of their nine league games played.
