It's still very early days in the Essex Senior League with clubs being in FA Cup and FA Vase action but it's Saffron Walden Town who lead the table with four wins and two draws from their six games played. Walthamstow and West Essex are the only other sides yet to taste defeat but they have only played three games.

Takeley and Hadley were in FA Cup action today. Takeley narrowly lost to BetVictor Isthmian Premier Division side Potters Bar Town 0-1 at home with Hadley moving into the 2nd Qualifying Round with a 3-2 against Arlesey Town.

Hashtag lost their first league game but have since won four in a row along with their FA Vase and Essex Senior Cup game. In their game at Sawbridgeworth Town today they were 2-0 down with 15 minutes to go but amazingly came back to win 2-3 with the winner coming in the 89th minute.

When your luck is not in it's certainly not in for Sawbo! They are bottom of the table with five defeats now and have also lost in the FA Cup and FA Vase. I'm sure a win will come soon for them.

Walthamstow have a chance to join Hadley in the 2nd QR tomorrow when they travel to play Aylesbury United.
