EUROPA LEAGUE 2019/20 KICKS OFF TOMORROW

Less than a month after Chelsea beat Arsenal in the 2019 UEFA Europa League final in Baku the 2019/20 competition starts tomorrow with the following fixtures in the Preliminary Round.

Barry Town United (Wales) v Cliftonville (Northern Ireland)
Progrès (Luxembourg) v Cardiff Metropolitan University (Wales)
KÍ (Faroe Islands) v Tre Fiori (San Marino)
Sant Julià (Andora) v Europa (Gibraltar)
Prishtina (Kosovo) v St Joseph's (Gibraltar)
Ballymena (Northern Ireland) v NSÍ (Faroe Isalnds)
La Fiorita (San Marino) v Engordany (Andora)

One of the stand out games in the return of European football to Barry as Barry Town United host Cliftonville of Northern Island in a match being played at Cardiff Athletics Stadium. The last time Barry Town played in Europe was back in 2003 when they played Macedonian side Vardar Skopje in the UEFA Champions League 1st qualifying round losing 2-4 on aggregate - Former Crystal Palace, Watford and Millwall player Jamie Moralee netted one of the goals.

Another Welsh club in Cardiff Metropolitan University play in Europe for the first time since 1999 when as 'UWIC' they played in the then UEFA Cup qualifying against Slovenian club Gorica.

Tre Fiori (of San Marino) won their first European tie last season defeating Welsh side Bala Town 3-1 on aggregate before losing 0-10 Slovenian club Rudar Velenje. Their opponent's Klaksvíkar Ítróttarfelag of the Faroe Islands also won their first European tie last season winning 3-2 against Birkirkara of Malta.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL TEAMS.
