The FA Trophy third round game between Ramsbottom United and AFC Fylde will be long rembered by those lucky enough to see the game last night. The hosts, currently in sixth placed of the Evo-Stik League First Division West, were 1-4 down the Vanarama National League title challengers after 48 minutes only to come back to 5-4 on 83 minutes and with in touching distance of the Quarter-Finals. Former Stevenage and Colchester United player Andy Bond equalised on 86 minutes with the game ended 5-5. The replay is due to be played next Tuesday evening at Mill Farm.

There are two other replays - one is an all Vanarama National Division tie between Maidstone United (who are fighting against relegation in the league) against Salford City who are currently in second place. The other is the only remianing Bostik League club in Carshalton Athletic who travel to The Hive to face Barnet after an amazing 3-3 draw in the first game at Colston Avenue. The Bees had been 1-3 up only for an own goal on 78 minutes and a Bobby Price penalty kick in the 90th minute to level things up.

If Salford City do get through they will face Stockport County in the Quarter-Finals which is likely to attract a huge crowd. County's last two home games in the Vanarama North were 4,105 v Bradford Park Avenue and 4,664 against York City. The capacity at Edgeley Park is just over 10,000.

The tie between the current holder's Brackley Town and Vanarama National League table topper's Leyton Orient is also attracting some attention. The Saints last defeat in the Trophy was in the 2016/17 Quarter-Final away at York City which they narrowly lost 0-1.
