A NEW WALTHAMSTOW AVENUE PLAYING SUNDAY FOOTBALL

The name of 'Walthamstow Avenue' disappeared from football way back in 1988 when the historic club merged with Leytonstone/Ilford who later became Redbridge Forest. A modern day club was formed in 2000 playing at Town Mead in Waltham Abbey and did play in the Middlesex County League in the 03/04 season before merging with Walthamstow Pennant who later became Mauritius Sports.

A new 'Walthamstow Avenue' club has been formed in 2018 and have been playing in the Essex Sunday Corinthian Football League Division Two with home fixtures being held at The Leyton County Ground which is a short walk away from Leyton Orient's ground.

The club are looking for sponsorship so if you are a local business why not contact them and give them some much needed support - details below.
