VANARAMA SOUTH DIVISION - HUGE ESSEX DERBY TOMORROW

Of course it's early days in the Vanarama South division but Billericay Town's 0-4 win at Truro City on the opening day of the season really through down a marker for the Essex side who are currently clear 9/4 favourites for the title ahead of Dartford who are rated at 8/1. Dartford started with a 1-2 victory at Bath City and entertain Chelmsford City on Tuesday evening.

The game of the midweek for TheColdEnd has to be the Essex derby where Billericay Town entertain Concord Rangers who won 2-0 at home to Gloucester City in front of decent crowd of 326 on Saturday. Town are hot favourites at 4/6 with Concord 9/2 to get a win with a draw rated at 13/4.

Woking, relegated from the Vanarama National Division, came away from East Thurrock United with three points on Saturday thanks to a 90th minute penalty from Max Kretzchmar who was one of the players who followed manager Alan Dowson from Hampton and Richmond Borough. They host St Albans City who won 3-2 at home to Hungerford Town with two goals coming from former Haringey Borough forward Ralston Gabriel.

The other relegated side in Torquay United opened with a 0-0 draw at Chelmsford City - they host Bath City tomorrow. Former Enfield Town youth player George Essuman made his debut for The Gulls in the game.

There was another Hudson-Odoi making some headlines as well as Callum who played for Chelsea in the Community Shield on Sunday as his elder brother Bradley scored for Wealdstone in their 4-1 home victory against Weston-Super-Mare. The Stones could make it two wins out of two with their trip to Hungerford Town.
