READING CITY - A NAME IN THE HELLENIC LEAGUE

Over the summer months we've seen a new name appear in the Hellenic League as 'Highmoor Ibis' changed their name to 'Reading City'. The club came about in 2001 when 'Highmoor' and 'Ibis' merged to form the original club.

The club played at Scours Lane before moving to Palmer Park Stadium so they could get promotion to the Hellenic League. In 2016 they moved back to Scours Lane as it had upgraded to the required standards.

Over the past three season's they have finished in 11th, 14th and 17th place of the Hellenic Premier Division.

The stadium was also the home of another Hellenic League side in 'Reading United' who were dissolved in 2016.
