The historic name of Upton Park FC is back in football after the club were 'reformed' back in 2016 and have played a number of friendly games since. The original club were formed in 1866 and played in the first FA Cup in 1871/72 as well as winning the inaugriul London Senior Cup in 1883 as well as competing in the 1900 Olympic Games in Paris.
The club are scheduled to play Clapton FC at The Old Spotted Dog Ground (which is only a stone's throw from Upton Park's original home in West Ham Park) on Tuesday 31st July in a game with free entry to all but people are encouraged to make a donation to the charity Isla's Fight who are raising money for Isla Caton who is a three year old little girl with the rare form of childhood cancer Neuroblastoma. They are looking to raise £600,000 for treatment & a vaccine to get Isla well again.
IF YOU ARE IN THE EAST LONDON AREA ON THE DAY WHY NOT POP DOWN AND HELP THE CLUB RAISE SOME MUCH NEEDED MONEY FOR A WONDERFUL CHARITY.
