Biggleswade Town entertained Wellingborough Town in the FA Youth Cup on a deceptively chilly Bedfordshire evening yesterday. It wasn't a game full of goalmouth incident in front of a crowd of 47 as both sides struggled to create any real chances during the first half until around 40 minutes when the match sprang into life with the home side scored two goals in quick succession to go in at the break 2-0 up. The Doughboys had their best chance shortly after the second goal when in front of goal their player wasn't able to get a shot on target and the ball was put over the bar.
The Waders travel to St Albans City in the Third Qualifying Round. Most of the Second Qualifying Round games have been played but there are a few left with an interesting East London derby on this forthcoming Monday evening when Tower Hamlets play Leyton Orient.
Below are both goals scored by Biggleswade Town and that chance by Wellingborough Town just prior to half-time.
