Betway.com have issued early odds for the Bostik Premier Division title and make big spending Billericay Town hot favourites at 10/11 followed by Margate, who have recruited well over the summer after relegation from the Vanarama South, at 9/1. The promoted side's Brightlingsea Regent, Thurrock and Dorking Wanderers at 16/1 along with Tooting and Mitcham United at 20/1. I would say Tonbridge Angels (20/1), Staines Town (25/1) and Leatherhead (33/1) could be good each-way bets.
He's certainly a character that divides opinion, but love him or hate him, Billericay Town's new owner and manager Glenn Tamplin has certainly created some welcome new interest in the local non-league game. The pressure is on for all at the Essex club now and every team in the division will most definitely be raising their game when playing against them - they will want to be the ones that beat them to create their own headlines.
The Blues start their campaign with a home game against Kingstonian (now manager by their former boss Craig Edwards) on Saturday 12th August followed by two tricky trips to Lowestoft Town (Tuesday 15th) and Dulwich Hamlet (Saturday 19th) - The game at Champion Hill is bound to attract a massive crowd.
Margate start their season with a trip to Thurrock before home games against two teams I expect to be challenging for at least a play-off spot in Tonbridge Angels and Leiston.
