"THERE'S ONLY TWO WOODFORD TOWNS"

The headline might become a familiar song around local non-league football ground as the historic and iconic non-league name of Woodford Town will play in two leagues for the coming season. The Cold End is not sure how this has come about but will hopefully bring you some news soon. If anyone has any idea please comment below.

"Woodford Town" who made a come back in the Spartan South Midlands League Division One during 2015/16 playing at Goldsdown Road and Wodson Park have rejoined the SSMFL D1 for the 2017/18 season where they will ground-share at FC Broxbourne Borough's Goffs Lane ground.

Elsewhere in the Essex Senior League (one step about the SSMFL D1) it has been announced "Haringey and Waltham FC" will change their name for the forthcoming season to "Woodford Town 2017". For the club it's a familiar occurrence for a name change having been named Mauritius Sports & Pennant, Mauritius Sports Association UK, Haringey & Waltham Development, Greenhouse London, Greenhouse Sports and Haringey and Waltham FC since being formed in 2007 when Mauritius Sports and Walthamstow Avenue & Pennant merged. They will play at The Terence McMillan Stadium in Plaistow.
