Barking are still the favourites for the title in the Essex Senior League but their 0-2 midweek home defeat against FC Romania has given a glimmer of hope to the teams below them. FCR have shown some good form of late - since they lost at home to Barking on Saturday 14th January they have won seven of nine league games played. Barking host Tower Hamlets (20th) on Saturday with Clapton welcoming eighth placed Hullbridge Sports to The Old Spotted Dog. FC Romania are also at home to Enfield 1893 FC at Theobalds Lane. Southend Manor are away at Ilford (9th).
