SPARTAN SOUTH MIDLANDS LEAGUE WEEKEND FIXTURES

League leader's London Colney welcome fourth placed Cockfosters to Cotslandwick in the Premier Division game of the day. Colney have won seven and drawn one of their home games with 'Fosters having a decent record away from Chalk Lane winning six, drawing two and losing only one game which came at Crawley Green back on Saturday 13th August. 

Second placed Hertford Town are in great form winning their last four league games scoring seventeen goals and letting in just three - they make the trip to Leverstock Green (11th place) who have had some great results in their league games beating Welwyn Garden City (3-0), Hoddesdon Town (2-1) and Hadley (8-1) amongst others. They have also lost 0-1 at home to bottom side London Tigers who go to Edgware Town (16th). FC Broxbourne Borough, who are second bottom, travel to Berkhamsted (7th).

Just seven points separate table topper's Harpenden Town and seventh placed Wodson Park in Division One. Harpenden Town welcome Bedford (18th) with second placed Baldock Town at home to Ampthill Town (17th). Bottom side Brimsdown are not in action but second bottom Hatfield Town travel to Biggleswade FC (3rd) who have an excellent record of eleven wins and just two defeats. Hatfield have lost their last eight league games shipping thirty-three goals - their only two wins have come against fellow struggler's Brimsdown and Arlesey Town Reserves.

An interesting game at Chalk Lane sees FC Elmstead (14th in the Southern Counties East Division One) play Cockfoster's Development side who are having a great season so far - they have won nine, drawn three and lost only two of their league games played. They ran Rayners Lane (8th placed in the UHLSPORT Hellenic League Division One East) close in the Middlesex Premier Cup in midweek losing 4-5 on penalty kicks after a 1-1 draw.
