TOP OF THE LEAGUE - ARE THE AMBERS HEADING UPWARDS?

Cheshunt took over top spot in the Ryman Division One (North) with their 1-4 victory at Great Wakering Rovers which was their fifth league win in a row. The Ambers have only lost twice in their fourteen league games played so far. If their form continues they will be there or thereabouts come the business end of the season.  Their only two defeats in the league have come at home to Norwich United (2-3) and away at Heybridge Swifts (3-1)

They face Soham Town Rangers (currently struggling in 23rd place) at home on Tuesday evening before welcoming local rival's Haringey Borough (18th) on Saturday. They then welcome Premier Division Folkestone Invicta in the FA Trophy before a crunch match away at title rival's Phoenix Sports on Saturday 5th November.

Their average crowd for the four home league games they have played currently stands at 126 which when you see the population of the town is around 50,000 could probably be a little bit higher with their team riding high at the top of the division.
