TOWN SIGN UP FOUR IN TIME FOR TRIP TO THE SEASIDE

After crashing out of The Emirates FA Cup at the first hurdle to Hanwell Town last weekend and winning just one of their opening six Ryman League games Enfield Town boss Bradley Quinton has been busy over the last few days signing up four new players for his squad. Crowd favourite and defender Claudio Vilcu (after short spell with Bishops Stortford) and striker Bobby Devyne (with Welling United) have also recently returned to Donkey Lane and featured in the Cup defeat at Reynolds Field.

Eighteen old year old midfielder/striker Connor Davis has signed on a month's loan from Championship side Reading. He joined The Royals from Dublin's Templeogue United and has been capped by the Republic Of Ireland at u15, u16 and u17 level. He featured for Reading's side who won 0-4 against Enfield Town in a pre-season friendly in July.

Twenty-one year old defender Jonathan Muleba was born in Burundi and came through Chelsea's youth system playing in their u18 side. He went on to join AFC Bournemouth where he had spells on loan at Poole Town, Gosport Borough and Bishops Stortford from 2014 to 2016. He played in Chelsea's under 18 (where he regularly named as Captain) and under 21 sides. He was offered a professional contract at Stamford Bridge but opted to join AFC Bournemouth.

Nineteen year old full back Keir Dickson learnt his trade in the academy side at Barnet before joining League One side Fleetwood Town last season. He started this season with Evo Stik Southern League Premier Division side Hayes & Yeading United making a handful of apperances for the Middlesex side.

Striker Tony Mendy joins from Evo Stik Southern League Division One (Central) side Chalfont St Peter where he scored 35 goals in 41 apperances last season - he has scored 6 in 9 games this season already. He has also played for Slough Town, Maidenhead United and AFC Hayes.

All four new players are available for the game at Folkestone Invicta tomorrow afternoon. They won 3-1 versus North Greenford United in The Emirates FA Cup last weekend and made a great start to their Ryman Premier season winning their first two games 3-0 versus Harrow Borough and 2-0 versus Staines Town. They then failed to score in three matches which ended 0-1, 0-0 and 0-1 before losing 2-4 at Burgess Hill Town on Bank Holiday Monday. Ian Draycott is their danger man up front scoring four times this season - He hit the back of the net 43 times (in 57 games) in 2014/15 and 40 (in 53) in 2015/16. He joined from Leatherhead and has also played for Bedford Town, Lewes and Maidstone United.

The Towners have an interesting midweek Ryman Cup local derby at Cheshunt on Tuesday evening. The Ambers have former Town player's Jamie Smyth, Dave Kendall, Liam Hope, Luke Illsley, Luke Marshall, Joey Stevens and Michael Kalu in their squad this season.
