Leighton Town, who were relegated from the Evo Stik Division One Central at the end of last season, prop up the early league table after picking up just one point from their opening six league games. They along with London Tigers and St Margaretsbury are the three teams left without a win so far.

London Colney currently top the table with five wins in six but can be overtaken by Hertford Town if they win their two games in hand. Holmer Green (in 9th) and Biggleswade United (13th) can draw level with The Blues if they win their games in hand. Biggleswade United have been managed by Cristian Colas since the summer of 2015 and he has been an influence in bringing in midfielder Sergio Urbano who has played for Barcelona B and a host of lower league Spanish sides - last season he was with CE Mataro who play in the 'Segona Catalana' which is the sixth level of the Spanish game.

Hertford Town (who have 100% winning record) and their local rival's Welwyn Garden City are the only teams left unbeaten - they are divided by Hoddesdon Town and Cockfosters who have both made excellent starts to their league campaign.

The Cold End is a big fan of the phrase 'strikers win games but defenders win league titles' - the stats show Biggleswade United as having the best defence so far conceding just 0.67 goals per game closely followed by Hertford Town on 0.75 goals and London Colney on 0.83. Both Welwyn Garden City on 1.4 and Hoddesdon Town on 1.67 goals per game will need to tighten up their defences if they want to push forward at the top of the table.

FC Broxbourne Borough have the worst defence conceding 3.57 goals per game largely thanks to 2-5, 2-6 and 1-6 defeats in three of their four home games.

Joe Wright of Wembley (who scored 20 times in 34 league games last year) leads the way in the race for the top goalscorer with a total of 8 goals in his first six games closely followed by Adam Mead of Berkhamsted on 6 goals in as many games.

Here are the fixtures for the next few weeks - TheColdEnd has picked out some of the games to look out for -

TWO HUGE GAMES TAKING PLACE THIS TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY EVENING
TUESDAY 13th SEPTEMBER
Leverstock Green v Wembley
Hoddesdon Town Berkhamsted
The Lillywhites first game back at Lowfield following their first few games being played at Wodson Park could be a cracker as it sees third play sixth in the league table and pits two teams who were predicted to be right up the top end of the table this season.
London Colney v Holmer Green
The table topper's face a tough games against Holmer Green who have made an excellent start to the season. Holmer's only defeat so far has come against Berkhamsted which is the only game they have failed to score in.
St Margaretsbury Cockfosters

WEDNESDAY 14th SEPTEMBER
Crawley Green v Colney Heath
Welwyn Garden City v Biggleswade United
What a game this should be at a new look Herns Way as Adam Fisher's side face off against Cristian Colas's impressive United team. One of the games of the season so far I would say. If you are local to this game my advice would be to get along to watch it.

SATURDAY 17th SEPTEMBER
Cockfosters v Welwyn Garden City
Another tough game for The Citizens and the game of the day this coming Saturday. It will be 'Foster's third home game - they have beaten Oxhey Jets 2-0 and lost 1-5 to Berkhamsted so far. This could be a classic at Chalk Lane.
Edgware Town v Berkhamsted
Hertford Town v Stotfold
Holmer Green v Wembley
Leighton Town v FC Broxbourne Borough
Two struggling teams meet at Bell Close. Could the home side pick up their first win of the season or could FCBB come away with a welcome three points?
Leverstock Green v Hoddesdon Town
London Colney v Sun Sports
London Tigers v Colney Heath
Oxhey Jets v St Margaretsbury
Tring Athletic v Biggleswade United
