VANARAMA NATIONAL LEAGUE 2016/17 KICKS OFF AT THE WEEKEND

The 38th season of the now named National League kicks off on Saturday with Forest Green Rovers, Tranmere Rovers and Eastleigh amongst the favourites to win the title. If FGR are going to justify their favourites tag they will need to start well but have a tricky trip to Boreham Wood who just stayed up last season. The winner's of the 2016 North and South divisions also face each other as Sutton United play Solihull Moors. The

Ryman Premier Division Champion's Hampton and Richmond Borough face a trip to Bishop's Stortford on their return to Step Two of the non-league ladder with play-off winner's East Thurrock United at home to Hungerford Town who won the play offs in the Evo Stik Southern Premier Division last season. Both teams are making their debut at this level of football.
