The Waltham Sunday League has announced it will not be runnning for the 2016/17 campaign - some of the clubs who were members have unfortunately folded or transfered over to The East Herts Corinthian League for the new season.
It sees an end for now (the league's bank account will be frozen for two years and there is hope of a come-back) for the league which was formed in 1961 and covered Cheshunt and Waltham Cross as well Hertford, Waltham Abbey, Enfield, Edmonton, Potters Bar and Tottenham.
It's not the first Sunday league Hertfordshire has lost as The Comet Stevenage Sunday League has not operated since last summer either. The Cold End is a strong supporter of local grass roots football so I'll try and get as much news and information out there as I can throughout the season.
