EIGHT GAMES IN THREE DAYS FOR THE PDFL AND UCL GROUND-HOP


The United Counties and Peterborough & District Leagues start their 2016/17 campaign this weekend with an amazing three days of ground-hopping. 

Tonight sees the action begin in Northamptonshire as Long Buckby host Whittlesey Athletic in a UCL Division One game - The visitors are making their debut in the league having been promoted from the PDFL where they finished second in the Premier Division last season. 

Saturday starts with a 10.30am kick at Crowland Town take on AFC Stanground in the PDFL Premier followed by a Division Three clash between Eye United v FC Peterborough at 1.30pm. The ground hop then taking in another PDFL Premier Thorney v Leverington Sports at 4.30pm and then the feast of football ends with a UCL Division One game between Rushden & Higham United and Oakham United  at 7.45pm.

If four games on Saturday isn't enough there are three games on Sunday stating with a UCL Division One game between Bugbrooke St Michael and Bourne Town at 10.30am followed by two PDFL games at 2.30pm Sawtry v Stilton United at 2pm in the Premier Division and Wittering v Long Sutton at 5.30pm in a Division One fixture.
