Pre-season continued tonight as Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division St Margaretsbury's squad braved the torrential rain and thunder storms to attend a training session with some even braving an outdoor ice bath! You can follow St Mags on twitter - @StMargaretsbury
Essex and Suffolk border league side Harwich and Parkeston also had a good turn out of 20+ players despite the horrible conditions in the local area which delayed traffic and trains throughout the day. You can follow The Shrimper's boss on twitter - @eldridge_glenn
Eldridge has plans to revive the 'sleeping giant' of Harwich and Parkeston and help them gain promotion back to the Thurlow Nunn League - They left the league by resigning in February 2010. The new manager has previously been Manager at FC Clacton and Assistant Manager at Long Melford as well as coaching at Holland FC. It would be great to see one of the non-league's great names of the past moving back upwards.
