Many highly paid Premier League players are often heard bemoaning the excess amount of fixtures in the modern game with reports stating their are plans to revamp the historic FA Cup itself to midweek fixtures only and no replays. TheColdEnd (like many, if not all, non-league fans) is strongly against this and thinks keeping the competition as it is will (as it has done so much in the past) be for the benefit of football across the board from the grass roots upwards.
Some of the Premier League players could do with looking at some of the non-league fixture lists where players with full time jobs play twice a week every week.
Bowers & Pitsea are still involved in the FA Vase and also the Essex Senior League Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy along with league fixtures to complete by Saturday 23rd April.
