Folkestone Invicta look champions elect in Division One (South) with a healthy gap of fourteen points between themselves and current second placed Worthing. In the seventeen home games they have played they have won fourteen, drawn two and lost only one (against Ramsgate) with three defeats in seventeen games away from home. If any club deserves promotion it's The Seasiders as since they were relegated from the Premier Division in 2011 they have finished 4th (lost to Dulwich Hamlet in play-off semi-final), 5th (lost to Maidstone United in play-off semi-final), 2nd (lost to Leatherhead in play-off final on penalty kicks) and 2nd (lost to Mertsham in the play-off final). This season it might be fifth time lucky for Invicta!

In the race for the play-offs there is only an eight point gap between fifth placed Faversham Town and fourteenth placed Carshalton Athletic so there is a whole group of teams with promotion aspirations
Dorking Wanderers, in their first season at Step Five on the non-league pyramid, are having a very impressive campaign. It's been a rapid rise up the leagues for The Wanderers who were only formed in 1999 playing in the Crawley and District League before joining the West Sussex League. In 2007 they joined the Sussex County League leaving Division Three in 2011, Division Two in 2012 and Division One in 2015 when they were runner's up to Littlehampton Town. The Wanderers moved to their Westhumble Playing Fields home in 2007 installing floodlights in 2012 with lots of ground improvements being made in preparation of possible promotion to the Ryman Premier Division.

Dorking Wanderers have risen rapidly through the non-league pyramid since their formation in 2009. They played in the Crawley and District League and then the West Sussex League before joining the Sussex County League in 2007 - promotion from Division Three followed in 2011, Division Two in 2012 and Division One in 2015 when they were runner's up to Littlehampton Town. They only moved to their Westhumble Playing Fields home in 2007 installing floodlights in 2012 with lots of ther improvements being made in preparation of possible promotion to the Ryman Premier Division.

Another club having one of their best seasons for number of years are Corinthian Casuals. Since joining the Isthmian League Division One in 2002 they have finished in 21st, 23rd, 13th, 23rd, 21st, 20th, 20th, 13th, 20th, 13th, 14th, 17th and 13th. The historic club, based in Tolworth, are currently in seventh position and well with in reach of a play-off place.

Worthing are another club who have been knocking on the promotion door since relegation in 2005. They have made the play-offs on three occasions and finished in sixth place last season. The Rebels installed a 3G pitch over the summer of 2015 and also made a number of other ground improvements at Woodside Road.

Many Premier Division fans will be looking at The Green Lions of Guernsey currently in sixth place and eyeing a potential weekend away day if they are promoted. Another recently formed club (in 2011) making a rapid rise through the leagues they won the Combined Counties Division One in 2012 and Premier Division in 2013 before finished in fourth place of the RD1S in 2014 and 10th last season.

This Saturday see's three key fixtures at the top of the table and in the race for the play-offs -

FAVERSHAM TOWN v FOLKESTONE INVICTA
The table toppers visit fifth placed Faversham.

HERNE BAY v CORINTHIAN CASUALS
Fourth place v Seventh place. A nice trip to the Kent seaside for The Casuals

MOLESEY v DORKING WANDERERS
The 2015 Combined Counties League Champions will be very happy with their first season back in the Ryman League and still have a chance of the play-offs. This will be a must win game for them against third placed Wanderers.

In the race for the division's golden boot it's Ross Allen of Guensey leading the way on 28 goals followed by Ramsgate's Joe Taylor on 25 goals. Tom Tolfrey of Dorking Wanderers and Ian Draycott of Folkestone follow on 23 goals.
