A VALUE FOR MONEY ALTERNATIVE FOR LIVERPOOL FANS

Liverpool fans were successful in their recent walk out protest in relation to the rise in season ticket prices at Anfield but prices at all Premier League football are still out of reach for some fans and families.

There is a cheaper alternative for fans and that's non-league football. One of the closest clubs to Anfield are AFC Liverpool  who were formed to provide a match-going experience for Liverpool fans who had been priced out of Premier League football . AFC are a non-profit organisation.

Their next game comes at home versus Colne FC on Saturday in the North West Counties League Premier Division.

They currently ground share at Evo Stik League Premier Division side Marine FC who are another cheaper alternative club close to Anfield. The Marine Travel Arena is situated in Crosby around 5 miles from Liverpool's historic stadium.

Other clubs close by are Bootle (of the NWCFL Premier), Litherland REMYCA (NWCFL Division One) and the numerous clubs who play in the Liverpool County League which is currently running four Saturday divisions including clubs such as Liverpool Hibernia, Waterloo Dock, Red Rum and Aintree Villa.

In addition to the above there is a new club recently formed - 'City of Liverpool FC' hope to be the the third club to play within the City Centre and are aiming to play in the NWCFL next season.
