Hampton & Richmond Borough capitalised on Dulwich Hamlet not playing yesterday (they were invovled in FA Trophy game against Guiseley) by recorded a comprehensive 0-4 victory at Canvey Island that puts them top of the table with a game in hand over the South London side.

Billericay Town will be very disappointed with only a 1-1 draw with lowly Brentwood Town with Tonbridge Angels losing 1-2 at home to East Thurrock United who move up into the play-off zone.

Other teams chasing and in with a realistic chance of a play-off place are Bognor Regis Town (2-0 win at home to VCD Athletic), Enfield Town (2-0 win at home to Met Police), Leiston (home game postponed), Kingstonian (1-3 winner's at Burgess Hill Town), Wingate & Finchley (not in action) and Grays Athletic (3-1 home win versus Farnborough). Of course other teams below tenth placed Grays Athletic can also get involved with a good run of form but as it stands I think it's between the these current teams for a place in the top five.

McCOLLIN RE-JOINS K'S AND SAPPLETON LOANED TO VCD ATHLETIC

Kingstonian's victory puts an end to a three game losing streak and also saw the return of Andre McCollin to the The K's. I have written on more than one occasion that the talented forward could be a very good addtition to a Premier Division squad after he scored many goals for Cray Wanderers in Division One (North) up to his transfer back to Kingsmeadow. He scored two on his first game back and will go on to score lots more in the exciting run up to the end of the season. Another striker joining The K's is St Vincent & The Grenadines International Gavin James who joins on loan from Vanarama South side Maidenhead United. Between 2013 and 2015 he scored 70 goals in 96 games for Flackwell Heath so will be another good addition - He started on the bench in yesterday's game.

As a consequence of this activity Ricky Sappleton has moved on loan to fellow Premier Division side VCD Athletic. He started for The Vicker's in their game at Bognor and he will no doubt cause problems for Enfield Town's defence in next weekend's game at Oakwood.

At the bottom of the table it's still Lewes, VCD Athletic, Brentwood Town and Farnborough who occupy the relegation zone. Who goes down to Step 4 could be disappointingly decided off the pitch with Farnborough's off the field financial situation well reported elsewhere on the internet and now Burgess Hill Town awaiting permission to be granted by their landlords (Mid-Sussex District Council) so they can add further covered accommodation for 200 people in line with current ground gradings - this has to be carried out by the Football Association's 31st March deadline.

The Cold End hope's The Hillians get it sorted - Relegation and Promotion issues should be sorted out on the pitch in my opinion.

This week's scheduled fixtures are below. There are two massive games next Saturday at Dulwich Hamlet (2nd) travel to East Thurrock United (5th) and Hampton (1st) entertain Tonbridge Angels (3rd) so it could be a real pivotal weekend.

The bookmaker's now show Hampton and Richmond Borough as 9/4 favourites followed by Dulwich at 11/4 and Tonbridge at 8/1.
